The Expert Modules cover the subjects of business management, digital image publication, studio photography and photo reportage. The four weeks combine theory, practice and the completion of a personal project under the guidance of their supervisor. For those enrolled in several consecutive modules, there is a one-week overlap period. Courses are scheduled so as to permit participants to follow both modules.

The module gives an overview of the photographic professions and the market, copyright legislation, marketing, team management, accounting and financial management within the field of photography. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -> MODULE 2: IMAGE BANK PHOTO PUBLICATION - July 15 August 1, 2008 (part-time) The aim of this module is to introduce participants to the creation of captions for digital images, the set-up and management of an image bank, retouching in view of publication (paper or web), as well as copyright laws. The participants also learn how to work with IT-teams. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -> MODULE 3.1: ADVANCED STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY - June 2 - June 20, 2008 (June 2 - 6: part-time, June 9 13: full-time Fashion Week, June 16 20: part-time) Participants are placed into professional situations and study lesser-known aspects of studio set preparations, such as make-up, hairdressing and decoration. The module also presents a range of expert skills used in commercial photography: shooting with integrated digital post-production, specific retouching (culinary, skin, jewelry etc.), exterior studio shooting. Several meetings will be held at professionals’ workplaces. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . -> MODULE 3.2: ADVANCED PHOTO REPORTAGE - May 26 June 20, 2008 (part-time) Photojournalism is studied from the point of view of an agency, a magazine, a daily, and an independent photographer. The participants meet professionals from the various domains of image purchase, sale and edition within all kinds of media (press and web). Through these exchanges, they learn how to position themselves and to efficiently prepare their entry into the professional world.
